Frank Schwertmann Sr., age 86, was born on October 30, 1934, in Granite City, IL, and passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in Granite City, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Schwertmann (nee Voss), his parents, Joseph and Agnes Schwertmann (nee Macura), his brothers, Joseph Schwertmann, Charlie Schwertmann, and John Schwertmann, and his sister, Zoric (Kenneth) Motes.

Frank is survived by his children, Frank (Theresa) Schwertmann Jr. and Joan (Rex) Schwertmann-Buckingham, his sister, Agnes Raub, his brother, James Schwertmann, his grandchildren, John Schwertmann, Justin Schwertmann, LaManda (Josh) Heil, Krystal (Austin) Fabucker, Brandon Ringling, Trent (Jess) Buckingham, and Lacey (Corey) Matya's, his great-grandchildren, Jaden Heil, Hailey Buckingham, Ryker Buckingham, and Taylyn Matya's, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made out to the Granite City APA (Animal Protection Agency), 5000 Old Alton Rd., Granite City, IL 62040.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, from 9 am to 11 am, and Funeral Service will also be on the 14 ^th starting at 11 am. Visitation and Funeral Service will be at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, located at 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, IL 62034.

Burial will take place at Sunset Hill Cemetery on December 14, 2020, also located at 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, IL 62034.
