Frank Albertina, Sr. of Collinsville, IL passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his home.  Frank was born in Mt. Olive, IL.

Frank retired from Swift Packing where he worked as a Butcher for over 40 years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and VFW of Collinsville, IL. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Perina Albertina of Collinsville, IL, his dear wife Verna (Bour) Albertina, brothers and sisters, Johnny Albertina, Joseph Albertina, Arnold Albertina, Hiram Albertina,Albert Albertina, Annie Maddalino,Alma Zysk, Ath Ruf, Liberty Giovando, and sister-in-law Kathleen Albertina.

He is survived by his children; Debbie Rukavina (Jon) of Collinsville, IL, Frank E. Albertina, Jr. of Collinsville, IL and Linda Smelser (Roy Glasco) of Collinsville, IL. Grandchildren; Angela, Christine, Ellen, Grace, Joni, Linda Kay, Thomas, Anthony, Andrew, Aaron and Eric. As well as 13 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020  at 10:00am at Herr Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
