Franklin Eugene Averett, 82, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on January 22, 2022, at
Belleville Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born July 23, 1939, to Early and Gerthe (Dockery) Averett. He served in the United
States Army and was a member and a retiree of the Teamster Local Union #600.
He had many enjoyments in life. He loved fishing, working on cars and lawnmowers, and
hunting. He enjoyed riding motorcycles but his biggest love was his grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose Averett, brothers: Raymond Averett,
Nelson Averett, and Joe Price.
Survivors include his children: Robert (Betty) Averett of Collinsville, Illinois, Cindy (Gary)
Roderique of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Kenneth Averett of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren:
Amanda, Robert, Marie, Sarah, Kathryn, Heather and Marissa; great-grandchildren: Shelby, Faith, Jacob,
Justin, Jacklyn, Londyn, Brodey, Aleah, Karlie, and Jaxon.
Cremation has been accorded by Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Collinsville, Illinois.
