Franklin Leroy Butts

Franklin Leroy Butts, 81, of Caseyville, Ill., born May 25, 1936, in Litchfield, Ill., passed away August 31, 2017, in Belleville, Ill.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After his service to his country Franklin retired as an Assembly Inspector from General Motors Corporation after 40 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni, nee Powell, Butts; parents, William and Marian, nee Taulber, Butts; sister, Mary Elizabeth Butts; brother, Glenn Eugene Butts.

Surviving are his children, Diana Smith of Collinsville, Ill., Robert L. Butts of Cahokia, Ill., Ronald K. Butts of Onalaska, Wa. and Jane M. Clardy of Taylorville, Ill.; his brother, Thomas Butts of Fenton, Mo.; his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
