Fred C. Busch Jr., 83, of Maryville, Ill., born July 25, 1932, in Little Rock, Ark., died Thursday, March 3, 2016, Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

Mr. Busch retired after nearly 30 years of service from Granite City Steel. He was a U.S Army veteran. Fred had a very active life, always staying busy working on his projects such as wood working and painting. He was an accomplished photographer, he very much enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He lived by his motto, "Live Life to the Fullest".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred C. and Jean, nee Niemeyer, Busch Sr.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Verdell, nee Peter, Busch of Maryville, Ill; His daughter, DeLois "DeDe" and her husband Kevin Bluemner of Collinsville, Ill., with their family Jennifer Kane & Johnny Kane and their children Masen, Gannen and Kamden; Angela and her husband Cameron Tidball with their children Addisen and Brynnen; Scott Bluemner. His son, Kurt and his wife Jayne Busch of Pacific, Mo., with their family Bradley and his wife Kaitlin Busch, Jessica Busch and Blake Busch. His son, Keith and his wife Vicki Busch of Murphysboro, Ill., and their family Justin and his wife Angel Busch and their children Brooke, Brianna and JC; Jared and his wife Heather Busch and their child, Drake.
