Freda Violette (nee Wallace) Kirksey  of Collinsville, Il, died on November 27, 2024 at the age of 90.  Beloved wife, mother, Nana, & aunt, she passed away in her sleep @ Eden Care Center.  She was born July 1, 1934 in Stewart County, TN & moved to Granite City, IL to marry the love of her life, Fred.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Wallace & Roberta (Hildreth) Wallace; four sisters: Louise (Wallace) Pulley, Imogene (Wallace) Milton, Margie (Wallace) Stavely, & one brother, Delma Wallace.

She is survived by her husband of seventy-two years, Fred; two children: Mark (Lesa) Kirksey of Dover, TN & Andrea (Scott) of Maryville, IL & grandchildren: Matt (Shanelle) Kirksey, Rita (Eric) Justice, Tyler Young, & Simon (Hannah) Young.

Visitation is December 4, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church immediately followed by the funeral at noon. The burial will be at Sunset Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
