Garrett Kyle Steele, 16, born Wed. June 17, 1998, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away at 5:14 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014, in Edwardsville, Ill.

Garrett attended Edwardsville High School where he was a junior. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed bass fishing, especially with his father at bass tournaments on Holiday Shores Lake. He was also an avid hunter.

Surviving are his parents, Christopher and Christina, nee Saulys, Steele; his paternal grandmother, Mary Kay Hampton of Irondale, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Victoria Levora of Edwardsville, Ill; an uncle, Keith (Jennifer) Gressler of Maryville, Ill.; an aunt, Shannon (Mike) Court of Holiday Shores, Ill.; and a cousin, Caleb Court of Holiday Shores, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
