Gary Charles Emmer, 64, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 2, 1948, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Emmer had retired from Kenrick Advertising as an advertising executive. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Emmer; his parents, Charles and Jane, nee Goedelmann, Emmer; and his brother, Timothy Emmer.
Surviving are his son, Justin (Laura) Frawley of Collinsville, Ill.; granddaughter, Brianne Hunter; two sisters, Teri Dellamano of Collinsville, Ill., and Sandy (Earl) Lindenberg of Town and Country, Mo.; former wife and dear friend, Lisa Emmer; two nieces, Erica Dellamano (James) Chilvers and Amy (Matt) Melton; a nephew, Andrew Dellamano; a great-niece, Ashton Melton; two great-nephews, Jackson Melton and Harrison Melton; dear friends, Jack Adams and Eileen; and his faithful animal companion, Sophie.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
