Gayle "Beckcom" McCorkle, born June 28, 1936, in Port Arthur TX, passed on January 24, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her loving soulmate, Jerry McCorkle, her parents, LW and Julia Beckcom, her
brother, Ward "Todd" Beckcom, and survived by her children, Debbie Duke (Husband Steve) and David
McCorkle (Wife Theresa) and five grandchildren Shane (Wife Katie), Shaun (Wife Laura), Scott, Rachel
(Husband Max), Chase and five great grandchildren, Ellis, Stella, Maebry, Roman, and Sofie.

Gayle loved people and had a way of making everyone she met feel loved and important. She loved sewing, reading,
cooking, taking care of her family, and an occasional "White Russian". She also played the snare drum in
the drum and bugle Corp for Thomas Jefferson High school, Port Arthur TX, called the "Red Hussars"
from 1952-54.

She always aspired to be a singer, and actress and was part of the local theater group in
Port Arthur TX. She was even lucky enough to meet the late, great actor James Dean in Hollywood.
