Gayle Ed Underwood, 77, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  Gayle was born in Portageville, Missouri  on June 13, 1945 to parents Paul and Marie Underwood (nee McMahan).  He married his beloved Patricia Underwood (nee Jordan) on May 1, 1970 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Gayle honorably served in the US Marine Corps from 1963-1967. He was proud to be a Marine and to serve his country.

Gayle was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Stephen Underwood, and sister-in-law, Peggy Aiple (nee Jordan).

Among those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia; daughter, Sarah Epstein and her husband, Scott; two grandchildren, Noah and Olivia;  and in-laws: Janet Underwood, John Aiple, and Bob and Michelle Bauer (nee Jordan); as well as scores of cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless people who were blessed to have called him a friend.
