Genevieve "Gene" Zike, 94, of Caseyville, Ill., formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born November 28, 1921, in West Frankfort, Ill., passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family at their place on the river. She enjoyed Camping, boating and going to the Happy Cow Restaurant with her siblings. Gene was a seamstress for the former Martha Manning Dress Factory in Collinsville, Ill. and a member of the First Baptist Church in Caseyville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Lloyd G. Zike whom she married in August of 1941, and passed away February 11, 1998; her parents, Robert A. and Ruth, Nee Thompson, Hoy; her daughter Karen Kueker; her brothers, Edward Hoy, Joseph Hoy, David Hoy; her sisters, Francis Hoy and Helen Hutchinson.

Surviving are her son, Kevin E. (Karla) Zike of Collinsville, Ill.; granddaughters, Traci (James) Kueker-Murphy, Shannon (David) Kueker-Taylor and Sarah (Tyler) Johll; Great Grandchildren, Kenny, Brandon, Jacob, McLain, Chloe and Nicole. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
