George "Don" Donald Barley, 93, of Wood River, Illinois passed away on September 16, 2023, in Edwardsville, Illinois. He was born on September 21, 1930, in Philadelphia, Missouri to George and Gladys (Lily) Barley.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Phyllis Barley, their children: Threasa (Mark) Silvey, Lisa (Steve) Ory, and Mark (Jeanne) Barley. Also, to carry on Don's memory are his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Don proudly served his country as an Army Corporal in the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Father Jeffrey Goeckner officiating.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Barley family during this difficult time. May Don's memory be a source of comfort and strength to those who knew and loved him.
