George R. Feeney, age 79 of Collinsville, IL, died at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Caseyville Nursing Center in Caseyville, IL.

He was born Thursday, November 30, 1933, the son of Thomas P. and Maude (Vaughn) Feeney. He married Margaret Williams on May 30, 1959. She survives.

Additional survivors are two sons, Brent Feeney and Colin Feeney, both of St. Louis, MO; two daughters, Kara Smith and Leigh Ann Pilcher, both of Collinsville; two grandchildren, Mariah Wampler and Andrew Smith of Collinsville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21 at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville.
