Georgie K. Hubbard, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., was born Feb. 10, 1924, and went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, surrounded by her family she loved too much.

Georgie was very active as a Sunday School teacher at Sterling Baptist Church for many years. She was the head of the E.E.G. Dept. at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill., for 26 years and after retiring was a homemaker. She loved to garden, sew, cook and was very devoted to her family and church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Myrtle Overby; four brothers and two sisters; son-in-law, Tom Richardson; and her wonderful husband of 43 years, Thomas P. Hubbard.

Georgie is survived by her children, Thomas (Beth) Soloman of Belleville, Ill., Nancy Gray of Collinsville, Ill.; step-children, Barbara (Mike) Dufford of Hecker, Ill., Dennis (Kim) Hubbard of Belleville, Ill., and Gerri Richardson of Shiloh, Ill. She had ten grandchildren, Kelly (Kara) Gray, Tommy Gray, Mark (Cornelia) Dufford, Miky Dufford and his friend, Amanda, Scott (Emily) Dufford, Heidi Hubbard, Daniel Hubbard, Nicholas Pachek, Leah Pacheck and Eric Pacheck. She had three great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Katelyn and Kierstyn Gray; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
