Georgina A. Hellstern Toothaker, born August 4, 1918, was called to her eternal home on November 2, 2014.

Having been in poor health, she looked forward to this journey to be with her Lord for the last several years.

Mrs. Toothaker attended East St. Louis schools and Brown''s Business College focusing in business, being employed by C.S. Skaggs, MD; H.J. Forestner, DDS; and Illinois Budger Company.

Mrs. Toothaker was married to Hubert L. Toothaker, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and previously attended Our Lord''s Lutheran Church.

She served her community, often in officer positions, in the St. John Women''s Guild, local chapter of AARP, Women of the Moose (Fairview Heights), Collinsville Senior Citizens, The White Shrine, and was VP of the committee to establish a Senior Citizens Center in Collinsville, Ill.

Georgina was preceded in death by her husband; parents, George and Amelia Hellstern; grandson, Brian Thompson; sister, June and husband Frank Wilkens; brother-in-law, James Bahr and his children, Bruce and Constance.

She is survived by a son and wife, Harold J. and Patricia Thompson; grandsons and wives, Christopher (Amanda), David (Lisa) and Kevin (Elizabeth) Thompson; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. James (Joan) Bahr; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Georgina would like memorials made to Faith in Action in lieu of flowers.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, at the funeral home.
