Georgina S. Knecht, nee Schoenberger, 90, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sunday, May 17, 1925, in Granite City, Ill., died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Breeze Park, St. Charles, Mo.

Georgina was a wonderful mother, and made a happy home for her family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, and baking. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar H. Knecht, whom she married on January 31, 1948; and her parents, Joseph and Josephine, nee Benz, Schoenberger.

Surviving are her children, Gary K. (Betty) Knecht of Schertz, Texas, and two daughters, Nancy Ehret of Maryland Heights, Ill., and Carol J. (Craig) Watts of Collinsville, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Marisa Ebers, Steven Ehret, Billy Kennedy III, Scott Ehret, and Shawn Kennedy.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor James Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
