Gerald D. Kramlich Sr., 88, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 21, 1923, in Shattuc, Ill., died at 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mr. Kramlich was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Ainad Shrine, VFW Collinsville, American Legion Collinsville, and the 1st Baptist Church of Collinsville, Ill. He had been employed as a carpenter at Scott Air Force Base for nine years and the Army Depot in Granite City for 19 years. He was a World War II US Navy veteran.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, nee Reever, Kramlich, whom he married on Feb. 20, 1949, at the State Park Baptist Church; daughter, Brenda Baker; son, Gerald Kramlich Jr.; parents, John Henry and Ada, nee Chatam, Kramlich; and a sister, Madaline Baum.
Surviving are his son and daughter, Donald K. Kramlich of Collinsville, Ill., and Cythia K. (Jim) Helmer of White Lake, Wis.; eight grandchildren including, Sheila Baker of Edwardsville, Ill., Melanie Collum of McDough, Ga., Brandon Helmer of Wake Lake, Wis., and Steven Davie of Wausau, Wis.; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Niccum of St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at the funeral home. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
