Gerald D. Whitlow

Gerald D. Whitlow, 76, of Swansea, Ill. and formerly of Caseyville, Ill., passed away on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Sycamore Village. He was born August 14, 1940 in West Frankfort, Illinois, the son of the late Walter
A. and Thelma Whitlow nee Klinker. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Janet Whitlow nee James, one sister, Mae Geraldine and four brothers, Gaynold, Leo, Virgil Lee and Raymond Kenneth Whitlow. On May 13, 2006, he married Lee Ann Sheffer in Fairview Heights, Illinois who survives.

Gerald is also survived by daughters Danelle (David) Campbell of Belleville, Illinois and Kathy(Bill) Hogg of Rogers, Arkansas. Four grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Hogg, Brittany (Russell) Gaskins, Jessica (Anthony) Fondren and Abby Campbell. Three Great Grandchildren, Ryan Fondren, Harper Fondren, and Brooklyn Gaskins.

Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines for 20 years. He was also a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Herr funeral Home in Collinsville, Illinois on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Service: Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 12:00 PM with Rev Craig Ballard officiating at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
