Gladys A. Ranck, nee Haddick, 69, of Marissa, Ill., born Nov. 3, 1943, in Bremerton, Wash., died at 2:02 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her residence.

Gladys had her first date with Gary, her husband, at the Senior Prom at Collinsville High School in 1961. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend to many. Mrs. Ranck worked as a medical secretary in the surgical department at Scott AFB, Ill., from 1984 to 1997.

She was preceded in death by her father, William C. Haddick.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Gary R. Ranck of Marissa, Ill., whom she married on Feb. 14, 1964; children, David J. (Samantha) Ranck of Arnold, Mo., Jill (Gary) Ervin of Coulterville, Ill., and Andrew C. (Michele) Ranck of Marissa, Ill.; mother, Audrey, nee Veitch, Haddick of Caseyville, Ill.; brother, William "Bill" (Susan) Haddick of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Christopher W. Ervin, Matthew R. Ervin, Laurel B. Ranck, Maryah S. Ranck, Aaralynn G. Ranck, Evan G. Ranck and Ayla R. Ranck.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at O'Fallon Assembly of God Church, O'Fallon, Ill., with Pastor Donald Andreasen officiating. Interment in Marissa Cemetery, Marissa, Ill.
