Glen S. Murphy Jr., 56, of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 11, 1955, in Mattoon, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.



Glen coached junior league legion baseball. He was involved with the Collinsville CBSL for many years, and was manager of Kahok Hockey and the SWIC hockey teams.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Jan, nee Chapman, Murphy Sr.



Surviving are his wife, Sharon, nee Bouse, Murphy whom he married on June 2, 1979; his son, Brandon Murphy of Lisle, Ill.; grandson, Landon Murphy; and three sisters, Marilyn Fletcher of Neoga, Ill., Melody Murphy of Charleston, Ill., and Teresa DiPietro of Bolingbrook, Ill.
