Glori A Wenzel

Glori Anne, nee Grundeman, Wenzel, 78, of Collinsville Ill., born September 17, 1938, in Leola, SD., passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017, in Maryville Ill.

Glori was a member of Copper Creek Christian Church, Maryville, Ill., where she had been organist/pianist for 15 years. She worked at Woods Basement Systems in Collinsville, Ill., for 13 years. She had previously retired from the California Department of Motor Vehicles in Oxnard, Ca., before moving to Collinsville with her husband Galen.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Galen Wenzel; parents, Clarence and Geraldyn, nee Robb, Grundeman.

Glori is survived by her much loved family: two daughters, Glenda (Tom) Gardner and Gale Wenzel, both of California.; two sons, Glenn Wenzel with his wife Gale and Gregg Wenzel, both of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Janice E. Grundeman of California.; brother, Raymond D. Grundeman of Virginia; six grandchildren, Michael, Andy and Nicole Wenzel, Justin and Megan Plisky, Teresa Wigton; her great grandchildren, Felicity and Nolyn Wigton; niece, Alexandra (Glen) Pearlstein; nephew, Christian (Heather) Grundeman; great-nephews, Benjamin and Owen Pearlstein.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Copper Creek Christian Church, 2184 Vadalabene Drive, Maryville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services for Glori will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. at the church. All those in attendance are invited to stay and enjoy fellowship and a meal after the service. Private family burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
