Gloria M. Snyder, age 78, of Edwardsville, died at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was born May 3, 1935, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late James and Edna Balke Motl.

She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Snyder of Edwardsville and Lori Snyder of Edwardsville: one son: Guy (Diane) Snyder of Edwardsville; one grandson: Jake (Christina) Snyder of Edwardsville and one great-grandson: Colin Snyder of Edwardsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Snyder and one sister, Myrna Wright.

Ms. Snyder was a member of the Glenview Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of the Edwardsville Kennel Club.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Glenview Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the church with Pastor Rick Unger officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
