Goldie M. Jones, nee Stephenson, 84, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 8, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 3:28 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in Edwardsville, Ill.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Jones; parents, Robert C. and Alice, nee Casey, Stephenson; son, Bruce Jones; step son, Charles K. "Pete" Jones; brothers and sisters, Helen Robinson, Eileen Ornduff, Alice "Duddie" Stephenson, Ruth Mattatall, Robert C. Stephenson, Donald "Sonny" Stephenson, Betty G. Staples, and Margie Wheat.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Gorney of San Benito, Texas; two grandchildren, Michelle and Douglas; and many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the funeral home with Father John Beveridge officiating. Interment in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
