Grace Boehnke, 82, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on November 11, 2021, at Cedarhurst of Collinsville.

Grace was born to Joseph Alvin and Kave Evelyn (Armstrong) Gibson on June 16, 1939, Kenton County, Kentucky.  She married Virgil Lee Boehnke on June 29, 1962, and shared 59 years together.  Grace retired as Executive Secretary for the Nooter Corporation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Alma (Gibson) Miller.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Lee Boehnke; sons:  Duane Boehnke and wife Jeannie, and Joseph Paul Boehnke; daughter, Stacy Rodgers and husband Rodney; brothers Harley Joe Gibson and Alvin Gibson; sister, Eva Joe Cook; grandchildren: Christopher Maly, Kaitlyn Maly,  Sean (Olivia) Boehnke, and Branden Boehnke; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois. A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m.   Cremation has been accorded by Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
