Grace Marie McPherson, 75, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 23, 2026.

Grace was born on February 10, 1951, in Glen Carbon, IL, to parents Emil and Evelyn Kraegenbrink. She was a devoted Collinsville resident, having been a part of the first graduating class at the "new" high school in 1969. As an avid music lover, she went from playing in the Collinsville High School Band to watching her grandson play for the same school band decades later. She was also known to love a good musical, with Beauty and the Beast and Wizard of Oz being her favorites. Outside of music, Grace loved watching crime shows and cultivating the beauty of her garden. She appreciated all flowers - recognizing the beauty of each and every one. She was also known for her sweet tooth. She could never turn down candy or a good, sweet cake.

Preceding Grace in death are her parents, Emil and Evelyn Kraegenbrink, and her brother, Paul Kraegenbrink. She is survived by her children, Brian (Tracey) McPherson and Colleen McPherson; grandchildren, Matteo, Dustin, and Michelle; great grandchildren, Adalynn and Trevor; sister-in-law, Charlotte Kraegenbrink; nephew, Kurt; niece, Amy (Danny); great nieces, Destiny, Keira, Aaliyah, and Lexi; as well as many more extended family members and dear friends.
