Grover E. Johnson, 86, of Collinsville, Ill., born Thursday, Sept. 5, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at his residence.
Grover was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill. He retired after 29 years from McDonald-Douglas as a machinist repairman. Proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Frank and Edith, nee Knight, Johnson; a granddaughter, Karol K. Johnson; a sister, Clara Smith; and two brothers, Cassel and Warren Johnson.
Surviving are his daughters, Peggy (Fred) Jordan of Troy, Ill., Dona (Jimmy) Jackson of Fairview Heights, Ill., Jo Ann Johnson of Goreville, Ill., Karen (Joe McGraw) Argyle of Iowa, and Susan (John) Lambert of St Louis, Mo.; his grandchildren, Ricky (Shannon) Albert, Shannon Stone, Melanie Stone (Mike) Perry, Mark (Danielle) McGraw, Wesley (Megan) McGraw, Kasey (Ben) Orea, Eddie Keck, Jennifer (Casey) Eaton, Rachel (Alex) Williams and James Hallinan; and great-grandchildren, Tyrus, Declan, Chleo, Nelson, Ciera, Angelena, Kailee and McKenna, Cheyenne, Keyben, Zion, Benito and Mia.
