Harvey E. Crooks, 89, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Friday, Aug. 14, 1925, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, Ill.

Harvey retired from Northfolk and Southern Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, nee Boland, Crooks, whom he married on May 19, 1951; parents, George and Velva, nee Cox, Crooks; sisters, Alma Clagg and Opal Douglas; and a brother, George Crooks.

Surviving are his special friend, Phyllis Koenig of Hamel, Ill.; and his nieces and nephews.
