Helen Barbara Gall, nee Niznanski, 96, of Collinsville, born Nov. 16, 1917, in Chicago, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at her residence.

Helen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Belleville VFW, where she was the past president for one year.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gall; a son, Joseph Yakubinis; her parents, Cifrian and Hermina, nee Dusik, Niznanski; and a brother, John Niznanski.

Surviving are a grandson, Jeffrey Yakubinis of Bellevue, Wash.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Casey of Collinsville, Ill.; a great-grandson, Christopher Casey; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Yakubinis.
