Maxine Galloway, nee Green, 93, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sunday, July 9, 1922, in West Liberty, Ill., passed away Monday, November 16, 2015, at the Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Helen was a very active member of the Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville, Ill., former President of BSU at SIU-C, and retired as a guidance counselor in Johnston City, Ill., where she served 16 years and worked for the State IBSA in Training Union for 17 years.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Mary Margaret, nee Hall, Green; seven brothers, Raymond, Ralph, Clarence, William Edward, James, John and Roy Green; and three sisters, Lola, Bertha and Bessie; nieces and nephews Mona, Betty Jean, Dale, Bob and Jimmie Lee Green, Carol McCarty, Nancy and Eddie Burke, and Rick Greene and Roybn Campbell.
Surviving are a nephew, Kerry Thomas (Kathleen) Green of Granite City, Ill., and a niece, Rebecca Green of Granite City, Ill.; a great-niece, Kimberli Green of Granite City, Ill.; a great-nephew, Scott (Heather) Watson of Alhambra, Ill.; along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Meadow Heights Baptist Church, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday November 21, 2015, at the church, with the Rev. Jim Donahue officiating. Internment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Edwardsville, Ill.
