Helen Carter Nance
Helen M. Carter Nance nee Kosewich, 85, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Sunday October 1, 2017 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Illinois. She was born on May 12, 1932 in Collinsville, Illinois the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Kosewich nee Pranaitis. Helen was also preceded by her first husband Julian B. Carter whom she married September 7, 1952 and second husband George W. Nance whom she married June 6, 1996, son Darrell J. Carter and two sisters Bernice Levingston and Delores Knoerr.
Helen was the Church Secretary of the First United Presbyterian Church of Collinsville from April 14, 1972 until May 15, 1997. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, Illinois for over 60 years. She was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and a member of the Collinsville Historical Society.
Helen is survived by one daughter Elaine (Robert) Schlau of Centralia, Illinois, one son Warren (Laurie) Carter of Collinsville, Illinois, grandchildren Jason (Erin) Carter of Granite City, Illinois, Debra (Stuart) Lankford of Nashville, Illinois, David (Dorothy) Schlau of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Stephen Carter of Chicago, Illinois, Philip Carter of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and Lauren Carter of Collinsville, Illinois and one great granddaughter Carolyn Carter. Also brothers-in-law Harry Levingston of Collinsville, Illinois and Donald Knoerr of North Venice, Florida and daughter-in-law Shirley Carter of Port Lavaca, Texas,

Visitation: Friends may call at the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, Illinois on Sunday October 8, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Service: Funeral service will be conducted at the church on Sunday October 8, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dr. Edward Evans officiating. Interment to follow at a late date.
