Helen E. Preckshot, 101, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on April 26, 2021 at Four Fountains, Belleville, Illinois.

Helen was born March, 24, 1920, in Collinsville, Illinois, to Alonzo Joseph and Stella (Skaggs) Giger.  During her working time, she worked for Martha Manning Dress Factory.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and a ladies aid.  Helen's life revolved around her quilting. Her secret and curse for her longevity was her riding the stationary exercise bike well into her 90's.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Preckshot, Sr.; parents; and brother, Herbert Giger.

Survivors include her son, John J. (Sue)  Preckshot Jr. of Frisco, Colorado; daughter, Sue Poole and husband Rick of Belleville, Illinois; grandchildren:  Michael (Brooke) Preckshot, Lyndsay Poole, and Scott (Stephanie) Poole; great-granddaughter, Rosalie Poole; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Herr Funeral Home of Collinsville, Illinois.  Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Collinsville, Illinois.
