Helen V. Slay's Obituary
Helen V. Slay, nee Brown, 83, of Granite City, Ill., born March 29, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her residence.
Helen was employed at the Sears catalog store in East St. Louis, Ill., for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by husband, John W. Slay; her parents, Harvey W. and Pearl, nee Spears, Brown; a brother, Harvey Brown; and a sister, Dolores.
Surviving are her three sons, David (Deborah) Slay of Granite City, Ill., John Slay of Granite City, Ill., and Richard Slay of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Joan Slay of Granite City, Ill., and Deborah (Warren) Koehler of La Vista, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
