COLLINSVILLE- Herbert S. Dunbar, 83, of Collinsville passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence.
Herb was born May 21, 1934 in O''Fallon, Ill. to James E. and Irene, nee Moss, Dunbar. He married Delores Nigra at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville. She survives and resides in Maryville.
Also residing is his son, Thomas Haig of Collinsville; one brother, Jim Dunbar of O''Fallon, Ill; and two sisters, Joyce E. Cavins and Shirley J. Buddell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald G. Dunbar.
Herb was a devoted employee with Allen Foods in St. Louis, MO for 40+ years.
He was proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of the NRA.
Memorial donations may be made to Metro East Humane Society.
VISITATION: A visitation for Herb will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.
FUNERAL: A funeral will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Kyle Wright will officiate. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
