We are sad to announce the passing of Herman H. Miller III, 68 of Granite City on November 2, 2023. He was at home surrounded by his family.

Herman worked for Riverway Harbor Service for 19 years. He then worked for Miller Trash Service, the family owned business for many years. He loved restoring old cars, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Herman is survived by his wife of 47 years Michelle L. Miller, Daughters Shannon (mike) Berheisel, Jennifer (Cody) Gray, Son Brian (Marilyn) Miller, Sisters Shirliey (Mitch) Bryant, Gloria (Eugene) Brominski, Brothers Wayne (Phyllis) Miller, Clyde (Theresa) Miller, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Frankey (shaver) Miller and sister Vickey Miller.

Services will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr, Glen Carbon, Illinois with visitation Monday, November 13, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the burial to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
