Heurshel L. Tellor, 80, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born Jan. 18, 1931, in Granite City, Ill., died at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.
Mr. Tellor retired after 44 years as a tool maker for Ford Motor Co., in Hazelwood, Mo., and was a member of the UAW. He was a devoted family man who with his family enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 835 in Granite City, Ill., and was past president of the Madison County Association for Retarded Citizen.
Heurshel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary, nee Ellis, Tellor; and brothers and sisters, Pauline Cox, Bernice Waller, GeorgeTellor, Paul Tellor, Loraine Tellor and Gerald Tellor.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred, nee Ellett, Tellor, whom he married on May 1, 1950; children, Deborah (Kenneth) Williams of Granite City, Ill., Rodger Tellor of Glen Carbon, Ill., Lisa (Jeff Sr.) Tellor-Kelley of St. Jacob, Ill., and Robin Tellor of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and a grandson, Jeff Kelley Jr., of St. Jacob, Ill.
