Ian Brooks

Ian Scott Brooks, 42, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 30, 1975 in Highland, Ill., passed away on Thursday June 8, 2017.

Ian served in the U.S. Army. He was a self employed carpenter. He loved to go hunting and really enjoyed playing washers and other yard games.

He was preceded by one brother Christian A. Brooks.

Ian is survived by his wife, Rachael Ann, nee Krause, Brooks, of Collinsville, Ill., whom he married April 8, 2017; his children, Avery Mae Brooks and Tyler Scott Brooks of Troy, Ill.; Katlyn and Kody Toothman of Collinsville, Ill.; his parents, Larry Dean (Elon) Brooks of Caseyville, Ill. and Patricia Ann, nee Cavaness, (Ray) Potts of Granite City, Ill.; brothers, Erik S. Brooks of O'Fallon, Ill., Joshua R. Davis of Belleville, Ill. and Jason Davis of North Canton, Ohio; sisters, Megan B. Davis of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Sarah Gruchala of Augusta, Mo. and Katia Errett of Collinsville, Ill.; and his father-in-law, Jim (Jerri) Krause of Collinsville.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive Glen Carbon, Ill.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Rogier officiating. Family burial will take place at a later date.
