Ionette "Sis" Elvera Kerrone, 90, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on August 23, 2021, at Liberty Village of Maryville.

Ionette was born November 20, 1930, to Julius and Ionette (Lessman) Goedecke in Jennings, Missouri.  She worked in the banking industry before beginning her 35 year career as an Executive Secretary for Monsanto.

After her retirement, she assisted her husband with his horses at Fairmount Park Race Track, she loved working with them.  She had many friends and very good neighbors that brought her joy.  She loved to mow her lawn to ensure that it was done correctly.  Sis not only loved her horses, but she loved her dogs too.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Julius Goedecke; and cousin, Edgar Goedecke.

Survivors include her husband, Don Kerrone; brother, Ted (Nell) Goedecke; cousin's wife, Edie Goedecke.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery, 4947 W. Florissant Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63115, under the direction of Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Collinsville, Illinois.
