Irene A Witte, 105, of Glen Carbon, IL. Formerly of Caseyville, IL, born July 3, 1913, in East St. Louis, IL., passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Glen Carbon, Il.

Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a dedicated homemaker.  She was a member of the Caseyville VFW for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband August "Bud" Witte; a son Roy Wilbur Witte, her parents Charles and Laura Richards; her sisters, Leona Koehler, Mildred Hess and Ruth Greenlee; her brothers, Arnold Richards, Lambert Richards and Robert Richards.

Surviving is her daughter Nancy (Ken) Gaines of Glen Carbon, IL.; granddaughters, Sandy (Robert) Powell and Amanda (Buzz) Gaines Borders.

Memorial in honor of Irene may be made to New Bethel United Methodist Church, Glen Carbon or Unity Hospice, and can be received at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL.  Condolences to the family can be expressed online through this online guestbook.

Funeral:  Services for Irene will be 11:00AM Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home.  Burial to follow at, Caseyville Cemetery.
