Jack Hill Sr.

Jack Hill Sr., 86, of Collinsville, IL., born July 6, 1932, in Fairmont City, IL., passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Jack was a caring and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by all.  Jack and Nina enjoyed traveling extensively together, they created many special memories on their trips.  He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where he was a deacon.  Jack was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  He retired after 26 years of service from Granite City Steel.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Nora, nee Cherry, Hill; his sisters, Eva Gibson, Bonnie Hauser and Mahalia Kozer; his brother Joseph Hill Sr.; his son-in-law Eugene Lilly; his granddaughter Danyelle Heinz.

Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years Nina M. Hill of Collinsville, IL.; his daughters, Nora (Buzz) Thompson of Collinsville, IL., Bonnie Lilly of Collinsville, IL.; his son Jack (Jamie) Hill Jr. of Collinsville, IL.; his six dear grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
