Jack Wesley McDaniel, 82, of Troy, formerly of Murphysboro, died at 5:51 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, in Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

He was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Pomona, to Ruth E. (Holder) and Robert M. McDaniel.

Jack married Betty J. (Lindsay) McDaniel June 17, 1950.

Survivors include wife, Betty J. McDaniel of Troy; sons, Dennis (Gale) McDaniel of Murphysboro and Jack Devin McDaniel of Wentzville, Mo.; daughters, Debra McDaniel of Granite City, Dena (Michael) Meyer of Troy,
and Deronda "Dondi" (Bill) Webb of Coffeen; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Tom McDaniel of Ava.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Roberta Ellis; and two brothers, Ted & Fred McDaniel.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
