Jack L. Tipton
Jack L. Tipton, 93, formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born December 31, 1923, in Granite City, Ill., passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, with his loving family at his side.
Jack valiantly served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was stationed in the South Pacific on the Palau Islands. He lived his life to the fullest, enjoying spending as much time as he could with his family, especially family birthday parties. Every year they looked forward to their camping trips to Kentucky Lake, fishing and just enjoyed being in each other''s company in the great outdoors. Jack''s hobbies included crappie fishing, small game hunting and mowing his yard.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife Marjorie M. Tipton; his parents, Charles T. Tipton and Lene, nee Freese, Tipton; brothers, Harry Tipton and Harold Tipton.
Surviving are his children, Thomas (Sharon Kay) Tipton of Trenton, Ill., Dale (Beverly) Tipton of Trenton, Ill., Connie (Doug) Hale of St. Jacob, Ill. and Terry (Sara) Tipton of Marine, Ill.; his sister, Nancy Roller of Rochport, Mo.; sister-in-law, Mary Tipton; grandchildren, Paula (Mike) Munie, Bridget (Eric) Wuebbles, Michael Tipton, Denise (Michael) Signorelli, Dennis (Wendy Steiner) Tipton, Dwaine Tipton, Marjorie (Darin) DeNeal, Michelle (Jeff) Dossett, Brian Tipton and Samantha Tipton; his 17 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Caseyville United Methodist Church and can be received at Sunset Hill Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be expressed through this online guestbook.

Funeral: Funeral services for Jack will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Joy Pope Caschetta officiating. Burial with military rites to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
