Jackie Roe Harris, 70, of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2025, in St. Louis, MO. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jackie was born on August 3, 1954, in Mitchell, IL to parents Russell and Georgia (Jarman) Harris. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, and after his military discharge, he got his bachelor's degree in business administration. He worked for many years in the restaurant management industry, but most recently he was just enjoying the life retirement brought to him.

He married the love of his life, Roseann Scoggins, in June of 2007. They spent many wonderful years together, enjoying the retired life in Alabama. Jackie really knew the meaning of "making a house a home" and prided himself on maintaining their 100-year-old house, taking special care of their yard and garden. While he enjoyed fishing in his younger years, his later years were spent spending cherished time with his family, especially his best friend, his wife. The special bond they had is one we could all only hope to experience in our lifetime.

Preceding Jackie in death are his parents, Russell and Georgia Harris; brothers, James Russell Harris, Jr. and Buddy Dean Harris; and his granddaughter, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Belle Rucker.

He is survived by his wife, Roseann Harris; daughter, Murlene Rucker nee Harris; daughters, Christine Shields and Stephanie Harris-Evangelista; sons, Steven Harris and Adam Harris; grandchildren, Mariah (Levi Holthaus) Keller, Brittany Lynn (Justin Harvill) Thornton, Miranda Davis, Austin Shields, and Zachary Shields; great grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Holthaus and Landon Chance Holthaus; nephew Mike (Carla) Harris; and sisters, Dorothy Jean Curry, Brenda Sue Harris, and Nell Frances Harris.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.
