Jacqueline Van Pelt Sapp, nee Canull, 78, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sunday, Sept. 13, 1936, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

Mrs. Sapp was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood E. Sapp, whom she married on Dec. 9, 1953; her parents, James Francis and Alleen, nee Van Pelt, Canull; and two brothers, James Canull and Warren Canull.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheryll (Michael) Tidwell of Collinsville, Ill.; son, Michael (Sally) Sapp of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Jessica (Adrian) Vega, Robyn (Grant) Koentz, Sara, Ellen and Eric Sapp, and Amy (Josh Cover) Sapp; great-grandchildren, Izabelle, Maddyline, Oliver, Violette and Justen; her sister, Jeanette Smith of Memphis, Tenn.; and sister-in-law, Mary Canull of Indianapolis, Ind.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
