Jacqueline May "Jackie" Wood, 48, of Collinsville, Ill., born Feb. 12, 1963, in Charleston, S.C., died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, on State Route 111 in Pontoon Beach, Illinois.



Jackie loved and enjoyed helping with animals and the various shelters in the area and belonged to Animal Rescue.



She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wood.



Surviving are her mother, Marion Field of Collinsville, Ill.; brothers, Stephen (Caren) Wood of St. Louis, Mo., and Craig J. Wood of Columbia, Ill.; her nephews, Alex Wood of St. Louis, Mo., and Curtis Wood of Columbia, Ill.; and her god daughter, Casey Wood of Columbia, Ill.
