James M. Cowgill, 60, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, April 30 ^th , 2019. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on October 7 ^th , 1958 to James and Emma (Banko) Cowgill.

He is preceded in death by his father.

James is survived by his wife, Brenda of Caseyville, Illinois, mother, Emma Cowgill of Troy, Illinois, children; Jeremy (Lindsey) Stanton of Troy, Illinois, Stacy (Garry) Milligan of Caseyville, Illinois, Stephanie (Jaylon) Rolens of East Alton, Illinois, Jeanna (Josh) Cowgill-Theis of Valmeyer, Illinois, and grandchildren; Garry Milligan, Jr., Elizabeth Milligan, Blake Milligan, Ashleigh Milligan, Nora Stanton, Milo Stanton, Lexi Rolens, Colton Burnell, and Emma Theis and one sister, Vikki (Paul) Schmidt of Troy, Illinois.

James was a hard worker and primarily focused on painting. In his free time he loved to fish

Rites of Cremation have been accorded.
