James F. Ferris Sr.

James F. Ferris Sr., 85, of Collinsville, Illi., passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016. He was born on September 18, 1931, in Collinsville, Ill., the son of the late James W. and Helen, nee Sterling, Ferris. He was also preceded by one sister Pat Combs.

Jim is survived by his wife Kay, nee Herren, Ferris, whom he married in Granite City, Ill., August 2, 1958.; sons, James (Janice Jackson) Ferris Jr., of Collinsville, Ill., Rick Wm (Tammy) Ferris, of Edwardsville, Ill., Scott P. Ferris of Collinsville, Ill.; brother, Bill (Pam) Ferris of Marine, Ill.; five grandchildren, Stefanie Pier, April Ferris, Angela Ferris, Jason Hannon and Derek Meyer; six great grandchildren; special buddies, Rod, Rick and Bob; and many more friends.

Jim was a faithful member of St John U.C.C. in Collinsville, Ill. He proudly served in U.S. Army. His interest included fishing and playing golf.

Service: A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at funeral home with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Per request cremation rites will be accorded
