TROY- James "Jim" M. Gray, 73, of Troy, formerly of Collinsville, passed away on February 3, 2017 at 9:20 P.M. at his residence.

Jim was born on March 31, 1943 in Canton, KY to Terry B. and Hazel, nee Holland, Gray. He married Shirley Hester on August 24, 1967 in St. Charles, MO. She survives and resides in Troy.

Together they had two children, Jim (wife, Sarah) Gray of Troy and Terri (husband, Dave) McDougal of Marine; also surviving are nine grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Keith, Johnny, Logan and Sammie; and two brothers, Rick Gray of Collinsville.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Keith along with Keith's wife Liz.

He worked in upper management with several different engine remanufacturing businesses from which he retired March 31, 2005, on his 62nd birthday.

Memorial donations may be made to Revive Church, where Jim attended and worshiped.

Visitation: A visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home and Crematory in Collinsville.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. the funeral home. Pastor Myles Holmes will officiate. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
