James Thomas Kincannon, 89, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on May 25, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.

James was born June8, 1931, to Chess and Edna Kincannon.

James served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a diesel mechanic his whole life, and when he wasn't working, he enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was thought of as a great man and father.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. (Mott) Kincannon on May 27, 2005, and his son, Kenny Dale Kincannon on June 3, 2020; as well as brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his daughter, D'Anna (Jerry Howard)  Kincannon of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren: Brooke Kincannon, Ashley Wagner, Jazzlyn Kincannon, and Cole Hellman; great-grandchildren:  Austin McCain, Alyssa McCain, and Rico Mosley; and one great-great grandchild, Kinsley Rodgers.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
