James Martin Moffett Jr., age 55, of Edwardsville, died at 8:02 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at his residence.

He was born April 24, 1959, in Springfield, the son of James Martin Moffett Sr. and Mary Jane, nee Rabbitt, Moffett both of Springfield, Illinois.

He married Kendra Deppe on Nov. 24, 1989. She survives.

Also surviving are one son: Joseph Moffett of Tempe, Ariz.; one daughter: Madeleine Moffett of Edwardsville; two sisters: Jeanne (Robert) Harbour of Chatham and Theresa (Reuben) Willis of Godfrey; two brothers: Mark Moffett of Springfield and Daniel (Lisa) Moffett of Springfield; a mother-in-law: Faye Deppe of Percy; a brother-in-law: Allen (Pam) Deppe of Chatham, sister-in-laws Donna (Tom) Riley of Springfield and Sendy (Paul) Miller of Percy and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jim was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a sales rep for Sysco Food Corp. in St. Charles and was a member of the Alma Masonic Lodge in Steeleville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Jeff Goeckner officiating.
