James E. "Jim" Pashia, 90, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at Granite Nursing & Rehab in Granite City, Illinois following a brief illness.

Jim was born on August 19, 1930, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to Ella Pashia (nee Portell) and Lawrence Pashia.

Jim was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America having completed over 70 years of continuous membership.  In his retirement, Jim was an avid golfer, bowler, and pool player.  He was a long-time member of the Collinsville VFW Post 5691, and the Collinsville American Legion Post 365, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah J. Pashia (nee Triplett), whom he married in 1957, and daughter, Jamie E. Pratt; five brothers, Charles, Lawrence ("Tony"), William, Richard, and Michael, and four sisters, Annabell ("Bea") Weller, Virginia Jones, Wilma Morris, and Shirley Pashia.

Surviving are his loving daughter, Melanie M. (Perry) Cummins, and son, Richard A. ("Tony") Pashia, both of Collinsville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Donald ("DJ") (Elizabeth) Pratt, Nicholas (Akshitha) Pashia, Samuel (Ann) Cummins, and Leah Cummins; three great-grandchildren, Salome, Ani, and Sona Cummins, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  Burial and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
